Current Local Photographers

Andy Levin
Photography can be one of best forms of art to connect with people and tell stories of people and of tragedies that have happened. Andy Levin is a local photographer in New Orleans that uses his art to do just that. Although not an original native to New Orleans it is where he has called home for the last sixteen years. After the hurricane Katrina Andy used his talents in photography to show the destruction and devastation on the city and to its population.

“My mission is to capture the vitality of human experience and to present it on paper in a visually compelling manner. As I photographer I work with daily life, ritual and celebration within which I look for moments of insight or higher meaning. I seek to create iconic images that are immediately recognizable as illustrating an idea, a place, or event.”

Andy Levin's work can be bought viewed and purchased seven days a week on the French Street Art Market located at 619 Frenchmen St., New Orleans, LA 70116. You can also find his art online at https://www.andylevin.com/andy-levin-fine-art-photography/
